NURTURING THE NURSE: A Health & Healing Retreat — Personal to Global

3-Day Workshop  September 10-12, 2012 (Mon-Wed)

Co-sponsored by Nightingale Initiative for Global Health, Earthrose Institute and the Northwest Center for Nurse Renewal at Harmony Hill. 

Nurses increasingly confront major challenges in their workplaces. Many feel burned-out from ongoing stress on the job, disconnected from the roots of nursing as a healing art. This 3-Day Workshop offers a unique opportunity to experience a healing environment to nurture ourselves, reduce stress and promote resilience and renewal. We will explore innovative holistic nursing practices to facilitate healing and nurture mind, body, spirit. We will reconnect to the meaning and purpose of our profession and with our nursing community - local to global.

 This year’s program has an expanded agenda, going deeper into the material and providing more time for reflection and renewal.  Variable avenues to earn up to 16 CNE credits depending upon participation

 Featuring a stellar faculty of nursing leaders and practitioners:

2 AHNA Holistic Nurses of the Year - *Dr. Barbara Dossey, PhD, RN, AHN-BC, FAAN, of NIGH *Susan Luck, RN, BS, MS, HNC, CS, of EarthRose,  *Past AHNA President, Dr. Lynn Keegan, PhD, RN, AHN-BC, FAAN, Co-Founders of 2010 International Year of the Nurse & Nightingale Initiative for Global Health *Dr. Deva-Marie Beck, PhD, RN, and Local Holistic Nursing Leaders and Practitioners, *Jackie Levin, RN, MS, AHN-BC, CHTP and *Denise Carrico BFA

 CNE CREDITS: Up to 16 CNE credits available depending upon   participation

 DATE: Conference dates are Monday-Wednesday, Sept. 10-12, 2012 at Harmony Hill Retreat Cemter

ACCOMMODATIONS: Overnight accommodations are available Sunday-Tuesday nights, Sept. 9-11. 

TIME: Program begins at 9:30 AM. on Monday 9/10 and concludes after lunch on Wed. 9/12

PROGRAM TUITION: $445 per person, includes three lunches and 16 CNEs.

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: $395 per person for registrations made by July 15, 2012.

HARMONY HILL ACCOMMODATIONS: Overnight accommodations are available the nights of  Sept. 9, 10 and 11,  2012 at Harmony Hill Retreat Center for an additional $100 per night. This rate includes overnight accommodations plus dinner & breakfast. There are also camping options available for $75 per night, including meals. Most rooms are double occupancy. This rate also includes any applicable taxes.  There is also availablity for extra overnights prior to and following this program.

In order to assure the highest quality continuing nursing education activities, the planning committee members, staff members, and presenters of this offering have no conflicts of interest or potential conflicts of interest related to convening this offering.
